This FAQ is about the New (Blue) version of RefWorks, released to Quinnipiac in 2020. If you are currently using the Legacy (Orange) version of RefWorks, please consider migrating to the newer, more full-featured version, using these instructions. You can export citations from JSTOR into New RefWorks in just a few easy steps:

If you want to export a single reference:

1. Login to New RefWorks

2. In a separate window or tab, access JSTOR and search for the content that you need.

3. From the search page or within the record itself, select the CITE THIS ITEM option.

 

4. Choose “Export to Refworks”, found at the bottom of the pop-up window

5. A new window will open asking which version of RefWorks you would like to use. Select the newest version

6. Once in RefWorks, a window will appear confirming the import. Your references will be in the Last Imported folder.

 

If you want to export multiple references:

1. Login to New RefWorks.

2. Search within JSTOR for the content that you need.

3. Select the items you wish to export from the search list (1). Click the Export Selected Citations button in the top right corner of the search screen (2).

 

4. Choose Export to Refworks from the dropdown list.

5. A new window will open asking which version of RefWorks you would like to use. Select the newest version.

6. Once in RefWorks, a window will appear confirming the import. Your references will be in the Last Imported folder.
