To get to our ebooks, you will need to navigate to the library homepage (https://myq.quinnipiac.edu/IT%20%20Libraries/HealthSciencesLibrary/Pages/main.htm). On the top right of the page, you will see a link that says "Books." Click that link.

You are now in the library book catalog. Here you can look up all of our paper and e-book titles. Search the title of the book.

Once you find the correct record (in the right corner of the record you will see an icon indicating that it is an e-title), click the link for the title to be taken into the record itself.

In the center of the record, you will see a link that prompts you to click for access to the e-book. Click that link and follow the prompts to read the title.

While we have multiple interfaces for e-books, there are common elements in those interfaces (though you may need to look around, because they are not always in the same place):

  1. Table of contents. This is usually located on the left side of the page, or else below the main text on the page. The chapters are hyperlinks, enabling you to simply click them to be taken to the chapter
  2.  If there is a page limit to how much you can download or print, this will be indicated.
  3. Reading options. Sometimes the publisher will allow you to download the entire book forever, or for a certain amount of days (after which the PDF will disappear from your computer). Otherwise, you may read the title online. In the example below, both are options.

As always, if you need additional help, please contact one of the librarians.
