In order to see all of your references in Write-N-Cite, you must sync your account. When you download the add-on for Microsoft Word, Word stores a copy of your reference library within the program. When you update your RefWorks account, you just need to sync the version that Word stores with your online account. This sounds complicated, but is accomplished with an internet connection and one click. 

1. Open Microsoft Word. If you are on a PC, navigate to the RefWorks tab on your ribbon. If you are on a Mac, activate the Write-N-Cite toolbar if it doesn't automatically pop up. 

2. Click the sync button.
